These terms govern the NicHall Heating refer-a-friend scheme. The scheme is run by NicHall Heating Engineers, Stowmarket, Suffolk. Gas Safe Registered 526591. Last updated: 23 April 2026.
1. The Offer
- The referrer (an existing NicHall customer with a paid invoice) receives £50 by bank transfer.
- The referee (a new customer introduced by the referrer) receives £50 off their qualifying job.
- Both rewards are subject to these terms.
- This scheme applies to any job, regardless of type, where the labour element comes to £500 or more (materials not included).
2. Eligibility
- The referrer must be an existing NicHall customer with at least one completed and paid invoice.
- The referee must be a new NicHall customer (no previous invoices).
- Each referee may benefit from the scheme once only. The £50 discount applies to a single qualifying job and cannot be used again on any subsequent job.
- The referrer and referee must be different households (different addresses). Same-address referrals are excluded.
- Referrals from partners, spouses or family members at the same address are excluded. Adult family members at different addresses are eligible.
- Employees, contractors or anyone working in the business are excluded.
3. How to Claim
- The referee must give the referrer's name and postcode (or use the unique referral link) at the point of booking or quote acceptance.
- Referrals notified after a job has started or completed are not eligible.
- If the £50 discount is not applied to your invoice, contact enquiries@nichall.co.uk within 30 days and we will refund £50 or apply a credit to your next job.
4. Payment Conditions
- The £50 referrer reward is paid only after the referred job has been completed and paid in full by the referee.
- The reward is not payable if the referee cancels before work is carried out, including during any statutory cancellation period under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
- If the referee has an open dispute, complaint, chargeback or unpaid balance, the reward is withheld until resolved.
- If a reward has already been paid and the referred job is subsequently cancelled or refunded, NicHall Heating may deduct £50 from a future invoice or request repayment.
- Payment is by bank transfer within 14 days of the referred invoice being paid in full. We will contact the referrer to obtain bank details at that stage.
5. Volume Cap
- Maximum 10 successful referrals per referrer per tax year (6 April to 5 April), equating to a maximum reward of £500 per year.
6. Eligible Jobs and Minimum Value
- The scheme applies to any job type (for example a new boiler, power flush, repair or other heating or plumbing work).
- The referred job must include at least £500 of labour, excluding parts, materials and VAT.
- If the referred job does not include at least £500 of labour, no reward is payable to either party and the £50 discount will not be applied.
7. Referral Cards and Links
- Referral links and cards are for personal recommendations to friends, family, neighbours and colleagues the referrer knows personally.
- Do not post referral links or cards on public coupon websites, deal forums, social media groups or anywhere that broadcasts to strangers.
- NicHall Heating may decline rewards where there is reasonable evidence a referral did not come from a genuine personal recommendation.
8. Not Linked to Reviews
- The £50 referrer reward is not linked to, and must not be conditional on, leaving any review on Google, Checkatrade, Which? Trusted Traders or any other platform.
9. Withdrawal and Changes
- NicHall Heating may withdraw or amend the scheme on 30 days' notice. Referrals already in progress at the date of withdrawal will be honoured subject to these terms.
- These terms are governed by English law.
10. Data and Privacy
- NicHall Heating processes referral data under UK GDPR Article 6(1)(b) (contract) and 6(1)(f) (legitimate interests).
- The referrer's name may be shared with the referee solely to confirm the referral. No other personal data is shared between the two parties.
- Data is retained for six years in line with HMRC requirements.
