2. Information We Collect
- Contact and job details you give us — your name, address, postcode, email, phone number and details of the work you need.
- Quote and enquiry data submitted through our website forms.
- Referral data where you take part in our refer-a-friend scheme (see our referral terms).
- Payment and invoice records needed to carry out and account for work.
- Website usage data — basic analytics collected via Google Analytics (see section 6).
3. How and Why We Use It
- To respond to your enquiry and provide quotes — lawful basis: steps prior to entering a contract.
- To carry out the work, schedule visits and contact you about your job — lawful basis: contract (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(b)).
- To raise invoices, take payment and keep accounting records — lawful basis: legal obligation and legitimate interests.
- To administer the refer-a-friend scheme — lawful basis: contract and legitimate interests (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f)).
- To improve our website and service — lawful basis: legitimate interests.
4. Who We Share It With
- We do not sell your personal data to anyone.
- We use trusted service providers to run our business, including our job management and office system (HeatFlow), our accountant, and our payment provider. These act on our instructions.
- In the referral scheme, a referrer's name may be shared with a referee solely to confirm the referral. No other personal data is shared between the two parties.
- We may disclose data where required by law, or to a regulator such as Gas Safe or HMRC.
5. How Long We Keep It
- Job, invoice and accounting records are kept for six years in line with HMRC requirements.
- Enquiries that do not lead to work are kept for up to 12 months, then deleted.
- We do not keep your data for longer than necessary.
6. Cookies and Analytics
- This site uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our pages. This sets cookies that collect anonymised usage information.
- You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings without affecting the core function of the site.
7. Your Rights
- You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to its use, and to data portability where applicable.
